Why Deeply-Rooted Assets?
Research and surveys conducted by Aracruz Celulose with the support of consultants and specialized institutions verified that while it is a conscientious and correct company by vocation and by nature, and while it has been practicing responsible socio-environmental actions for over 40 years, nevertheless Aracruz is not necessarily perceived in this manner. Based on this finding, Deeply-Rooted Assets was developed, a reaffirmation of Aracruz’s principles, bringing to the forefront its socio-environmental responsibility policies and practices.
Aracruz generates Deeply-Rooted Assets when it benefits the land or the communities where it operates. Some examples are the construction and maintenance of:
- Elementary schools and daycare centers;
- Professional training and qualification centers;
- Medical units, clinics and hospitals;
- Water and sewage treatment stations;
